When snap-in denture O-rings need attention
Small attachment parts play a big role in how securely a snap-in denture seats.
What an O-ring does
Some implant denture systems use a replaceable O-ring or retentive insert inside the denture attachment. It engages the implant’s attachment to help hold the denture in place. Your system may use a different insert design, so care and replacement are specific to the components you have.
Wear can change the feel
Repeated insertion and removal gradually affect retention. A denture that lifts more easily or no longer seats evenly should be checked. There is no single replacement interval for every patient; usage, cleaning, alignment, and the attachment system all matter.

Let the team identify the cause
Loss of retention can have more than one explanation. We examine the denture and implants before deciding whether replacement parts, adjustment, or another service is needed. Keep the attachments clean and follow our seating technique rather than biting a poorly aligned denture into position.
