Caring for a fixed full-arch implant bridge
Fixed teeth still need daily cleaning and professional maintenance. Here is what to understand about caring for an implant bridge.
Clean the teeth and the space beneath them
Brush the visible teeth and gumline using the method we demonstrate. Food and plaque can collect beneath a full-arch bridge, so cleaning only the outside is not enough. We recommend tools that fit the space beneath your particular restoration, such as a suitable interdental aid or water flosser.
Keep your maintenance visits
We provide maintenance cleanings for our fixed bridge patients. At follow-up visits, we assess the bridge, supporting tissues, bite, and attachment components. A detachable bridge may be removed by the dental team as part of its maintenance plan; do not attempt to remove it yourself.

Know when to call
Contact us about bleeding that persists, swelling, pain, a bad taste, a fractured tooth on the bridge, or a change in stability. A bridge that feels secure can still need attention around the supporting implants. Your home-care instructions and follow-up schedule are specific to your restoration.
