Understanding implants for loose dentures

Learn how implant attachments can help support a denture that lifts or shifts.

Treatment timeline

When a tooth needs to be removed, we typically allow about three months of healing before placing an implant. We do not extract teeth and place implants at the same appointment. After implants are placed in a healed site, a snap-in denture or temporary restoration can be loaded immediately when planned and supported by adequate implant stability. Your final restoration follows its own treatment schedule.
