The short answer
Dr. Ackerman gives approximate ranges in the video: $6,000–$8,000 per arch for snap-in dentures and $15,000–$17,000 per arch for a roundhouse bridge, with extractions discussed separately. An exam, treatment choice, and sedation needs determine the individual estimate.
You want a clear idea of cost before committing to full-mouth treatment. In this video, Dr. Regan Ackerman gives approximate ranges, explains what affects the total, and discusses combining options or staging treatment.
How much does full mouth reconstruction cost? It’s hard to give a specific answer, and I know that’s difficult. You call an office and you want to get an exact price. What I kind of relate it to is you go to your mechanic to get your car fixed. That mechanic’s not going to know the exact price until they open the hood of that car.
Similar situation. I’m not going to be able to give you any exact prices until you come in for the free consultation. So the consultation’s free, which includes a 3D X-ray, an exam, and a discussion of your goals. Like we can give you a price for the denture stabilization over the phone, but maybe you don’t want a denture; you want permanent teeth. So we really need to know what your goals are But just generalization, I’m going to try to answer the question for you Full mouth reconstruction, first of all, we have to start with extraction of the teeth.
That all depends on if you want to be fully sedated, which means you may need to go to the oral surgeon, or if we can do your extractions in office, under local anesthetic or maybe nitrous. But I’d say to have a whole arch of teeth taken out, say you have like 13 teeth, like the majority of your teeth on one arch, say the lower teeth, you’re looking anywhere, roughly $3,000 to maybe up to $5,000, $6,000 with sedation. And then we have to restore that arch, right?
So I’m talking about just the lower arch right now. And so for a snap-in denture, I’d say start to finish, you’re anywhere from the $6,000 to $8,000 range. That includes the denture., me placing all the mini implants once you’ve healed, any adjustments. We’re not going to nickel and dime you every visit you come. So that includes any adjustments, post-op visits, that’s everything start to finish for denture stabilization. So for one arch, say just the lower arch, denture stabilization, let’s say $6,000 to $8,000.
For the nicer version, which is what we call a roundhouse bridge., it’s made out of zirconia, so it’s a much, much stronger material. It’s not a denture, so nothing covers the roof of your mouth. It’s permanent teeth, doesn’t come in and out. I’d say you’re in the, let’s say, $15,000 to $17,000 range., to restore the lower arch.
This is per arch. And I would also say that a lot of people, we all want the Ferrari or the Corvette, the zirconia, the nicest thing, but sometimes we have to drive a Honda, right? So if you can only afford the Corvette on one arch, you get that on the upper arch, so nothing covers the roof of your mouth, and then you do the Honda on the lower arch. So you can do your snap-in denture on the bottom arch and do what I call the combo.
So it’s a roundhouse bridge on the top, snap-in denture on the bottom. So roundhouse bridge, let’s say $15,000 to $17,000. Snap-in denture, $6,000 to $8,000. And just depending on your extractions and how many teeth you have and if you want to be sedated or not, anywhere from three to six thousand dollars. Once again, don’t hold me to all those because everybody’s situation is different.
I’m not going to know until you come in for a consultation. But those are pretty good price ranges there. But please call the office, do the free consultation, and we can kind of try to give you more exact pricing, work with you on any financing that you need. Like I said, sometimes our process, we can do staggered payments because the treatment may have to be done over several months, and we’ll figure that out for you.
