The short answer
Dr. Ackerman explains that a denture can be attached on the day she places the mini implants. When that appointment can happen depends on whether teeth need to be removed and whether the bone has healed.
The phrase “same-day implants” can leave you wondering whether every step happens at once. In this video, Dr. Regan Ackerman explains what she means by attaching a snap-in denture on implant placement day.
Sometimes people ask if they can get a snap-in denture in one day, and the answer is sometimes we can do that. It just kind of all depends on your scenario. So, if you come in for the free consultation, I’ll be able to evaluate that. Majority of the time, this can happen if you’ve already had your teeth taken out. Say you’ve been missing your teeth for about 2 to 3 months, then you’re already healed, so the bone is healed and ready.
So a lot of times I can do your snap-in denture the same day. So I will place the implants, the mini dental implants, no incisions, no stitches, a lot less invasive. The day I put the implants in, you will leave with the denture snapped in. So it’ll be attached that same day. So kind of to answer, if the denture can be snapped in the same day, so it will definitely be snapped in the day I place the implants.
But the placement of the implants all depends on if you need teeth taken out or if you don’t. But the day I place the mini implants is the day you will leave with the denture snapped in. So that is all done in one day. The day we place the mini implants, we snap the denture in that same day.

What happens on implant placement day
Dr. Ackerman separates same-day attachment from the preparation needed before that visit. Patients who already have healed extraction sites may be ready sooner. If teeth still need to be removed, the overall schedule includes that treatment and healing.
